Comprehensive database representing everyone ever eligible to practice as PA

Process for developing database - for identifying people eligible to practice as a PA:

  • New PA students identified
    1. AAPA annually requests rosters of new students from PA programs.
  • People who are eligible to practice as PAs are identified
    1. AAPA acquires lists of graduates from programs annually
    2. Individuals call AAPA seeking to become members
    3. AAPA acquires lists of people passing NCCPA certification and recertification exams on a quarterly basis
    4. AAPA acquires lists of people licensed as PAs by states on a quarterly basis

Unique life-long personal identification number assigned to each person found to be or expected to become eligible to practice as a PA.

  • Routine reviews of names, addresses, and NCCPA identification numbers to verify unique records.
