Course Overview
This highly specialized and educationally intense "boot camp" will immerse hospitalist PAs and NPs in the most important Core Competencies*-based topics routinely encountered in adult hospital medicine practice. Small group break-out sessions will allow for a more personalized and intimate learning environment.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, graduates from the Adult Hospitalist PA and NP boot camp will:
- Describe the most current, evidence-based clinical practice for key core competency-based topics in hospital medicine
- Be familiar with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and systems concepts embedded in SHM's Core Competencies and understand how to apply these in daily practice
- Augment their fund of knowledge to enhance their existing hospital medicine practice
- Expand their fund of knowledge to transition into hospital medicine practice
- Network with likeminded practitioners
- Utilize the information presented in preparation for recertifying examination
Accreditation Statements
AAPA: This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 33.25 hours of AAPA Category I CME credit by the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity.
