  1. AAPA Constituent Organizations:  AAPA has a federated structure of 57 chartered chapters representing PAs in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the federal services.  There are also 24 recognized PA specialty organizations, as well as caucuses, congresses and special interest groups representing diverse groups of PAs.
  1. National Partner Organizations:  Major national PA organizations, other than AAPA, include the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) representing the PA educational programs, the National Commission on Certification of PAs (NCCPA) which is the certification organization for individual PAs, and the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) which accredits PA educational programs.
AAPA is frequently asked to become an active partner in national campaigns to improve patient care. By working on both the national and local levels, AAPA can educate other providers and the public about the role of PAs in expanding access to quality medical care. The following pages contain information on some campaigns seeking PA assistance and involvement.
