Introduction to Musculoskeletal Ultrasound is an introductory course for physician assistants and nurse practitioners to learn basic principles of ultrasound and its applications to orthopedics. This course teaches the principles and techniques of proper ultrasound scanning with lectures and hands on scanning. Attendees learn normal anatomy, techniques of visualization, recognition of abnormal findings, and hands on instruction of ultrasound scanning. The focus will be on small group learning and hands on rather than solely lecture based.
