Last fall, Big Art. Bigger Change., a mural project curated by Street Art for Mankind (SAM), unveiled nine murals in downtown Houston. Central Houston, Inc. (CHI), an organization of business leaders in the downtown area, announced the expansion of the project to include more than two dozen murals. Check out these incredible artists on a walking tour with Art Specialist Andrew! This walking tour will take off from the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Pack Meals for the Hungry with Meals of Hope

Stand together with your colleagues to help fight hunger everywhere. AAPA is hosting a meal packing event through Meals of Hope, an organization whose mission is to inspire and empower communities to come together to end hunger. Sign up for this PA Adventure and you’ll get to help pack meals to distribute to the less fortunate. More info about Meals of Hope: https://mealsofhope.org/about/. This event will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The $15 charge for this adventure is a donation that will go directly to Meals of Hope.

 

Houston Historical Tour with Ghost Stories

Start off at Market Street Square and hear of the tales of the beginning of Houston after the Texas Revolution. Stroll historical Buffalo Bayou and learn of the Allen Brothers, the founders of Houston, and the city’s quest to be a regional transportation and commercial hub. And of course, hear all the ghost stories of some of the oldest buildings in town. This walking tour will take off from the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Saint Arnold Brewing Company, located in Houston, is Texas’ Oldest Craft Brewery. Their goal is to brew world class beers and deliver them to customers as fresh as possible! Their small crew does everything at the brewery: brew the beer, keg the beer, bottle the beer, sell the beer, and drink the beer. They brew several different beers; some year around, some seasonal, some for special release, and a few single-batch brews. A guided tour happens every hour on the hour and your tour will include two drink tickets for after the tour. A brew master will speak with the tour group to go over anything and everything you want to know. Transportation to and from the brewery is included.
