While many aspects of PA student life were uncertain this past year — hybrid learning, changing rotation schedules, and virtual graduations, to name only a few – there was one thing PA students could depend on: AAPA’s Challenge Bowl! We’ll be bringing you Challenge Bowl this year, like every year, and we can’t wait to see the competition! This year’s event is completely virtual and is comprised of seven events. Learn how this year’s PA student quiz show will work, then start gathering your teammates.

Eligibility and Team Registration
Each accredited PA program is eligible to register one team. Once a team has completed the registration form, the AAPA Student Academy Staff Advisor will review their eligibility and email the team members with a confirmation of eligibility or further instructions. The deadline to register is March 15.

Regional Qualifying Events
PA programs are assigned to regions based on their location. Teams that are eligible to participate in Virtual Challenge Bowl will first participate in one of the six regional qualifying events. The dates and times of these regional events will be announced soon.

AAPA will be using Kahoot and Zoom to conduct the regional qualifying events. Teams will be placed in individual breakout rooms. One team member (the Team Captain) will be designated to answer questions using Kahoot on behalf of their team. The three team members can discuss the question and their answer in their breakout room prior to the Team Captain responding with their final answer. Kahoot awards points to teams based on how quickly a team answers correctly. All questions are provided by Rosh Review.

The top-scoring team from each of the six regional qualifying events will advance to the Virtual Challenge Bowl Championship on May 24. These regional qualifying events will be recorded and made available to all Conference attendees to view.

Virtual Challenge Bowl Championship: Monday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET

Be sure to join us for the main event on May 24. You’ll be able to cheer on the school from your region during the Challenge Bowl Championship, which will be livestreamed and recorded for all Conference attendees. AAPA will use Kahoot and Zoom breakout rooms and the same scoring structure as the regional qualifying events during the Virtual Challenge Bowl Championship.
