Research plays a vital role in expanding our understanding of the PA role in our healthcare system. Are you interested in research but not sure where to start? Or maybe you’re comfortable with research, but you want to learn more? Are you wondering what resources are available online to help you on your research journey? No matter where you’re starting, the AAPA Research team has compiled some of their go-to resources for you!

How Tos and Statistical Support
Let’s start with our curated list of tools vetted and often used by our Research Team. How Tos and Statistical Support includes our go-to resources on research methodology and much more.

Are you planning to send out a survey or conduct interviews? We have tools for you! Do you know how to write a survey but need a statistical assist? We have guides for novices. Have you conducted your own research but are not sure how to go about sharing your work with others? Yep! We’ve got that covered, too.

Research 101
Do you prefer to watch webinars and get CME? Research 101, a series of free webinars to help PAs and PA students develop an understanding of the importance of research, is a new offering. This series will give you an overview of the importance of research to advance the PA profession, peer reviewing for PA journals, medical writing, and highlight a secondary data source. In addition to this new content, we have compiled a list of additional CME available in AAPA Learning Central within the new Research-Related CME page.

All of Us
AAPA and the PA Foundation have partnered with the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) All of Us Research Program to raise awareness about the importance of participation in research. All of Us is seeking one million or more individuals from across the U.S. who have historically been left out of biomedical research to participate in creating a robust and diverse data resource. Scientists and medical researchers with access to the data can use it to understand more about why people get sick or stay healthy. Watch the newest video, Increasing Your Knowledge through All of Us: Secondary Clinical Data for Research and Clinical Work to learn how to get started with All of Us data. We hope this webinar gets you excited to learn more, and you can get involved by visiting the All of Us Research Hub at researchallofus.org.

If you have a favorite research resource, an idea for a presentation you want to share, or just want to give feedback, we are here and listening!
