AAPA 2023 was one of our biggest conferences to date with over 7,000 PAs and PA students in attendance and more than 230 CME sessions offered. PAs engaged in hands-on workshops, learned new skills from their peers, and attended lectures from seasoned experts.

The PA spirit of collaboration is what drives the conference forward and makes it a lasting success. Applications are now open for CME presentations and presentation graders until July 31, 2023. Presenting at Houston at AAPA 2024 is not only a chance for PAs to educate one another, but an opportunity to create lasting partnerships and build on the already robust PA profession.

Ready, set, present! Become a CME presenter!
There are several presentation options available for AAPA 2024, including hour-long lectures, hands-on workshops, and small, case-based interactive sessions. Those who wish to present, but have limited speaking experience, can submit a New to the Stage proposal and, if accepted, will be matched with a seasoned speaker to guide them through the faculty experience. If you are not ready to present, consider volunteering as a grader!
AAPA is currently looking for members to peer review CME proposals for AAPA 2024! This short-term volunteer opportunity, which occurs between August 8 – August 20, 2023, allows you to provide input into the session selection process. Volunteers choose from 47 different specialty tracks based on their preferences and experience. All work is done independently and electronically, and each grader will need to dedicate an estimated 20-25 hours over the two-week period to review. On the horizon: Call for moderators!
At AAPA 2024, there are several ways to contribute. If you are not ready to present, and don’t have the time to be a grader, consider volunteering as a moderator. Moderators play a key role by introducing presenters, keeping time, and evaluating the sessions they moderate. Volunteers not only impact the success of the conference, but also earn an AAPA Category 1 CME credit!

The call for moderator applications will go out in the coming months, so keep an eye out!

AAPA 2024 will be held May 18-22, in Houston, Texas and all Grader and CME Presentation submissions are due by July 31, 2023.
