Help AAPA Spread the Word: PAs Go Beyond!

PA Week 2023 is here!

October 4, 2023

Every year during PA Week, we come together to showcase our PA pride and celebrate just how amazing PAs are. This year is no exception! From October 6-12, we want your help to spread the word that PAs Go Beyond – for their patients, their communities, and our healthcare system.

This year, our goal for PA Week is to highlight how PAs meet patient needs, drive progress toward a patient-centered healthcare system, and demonstrate how the PA workforce is vital to addressing issues related to access, cost, workforce shortages, and health disparities.

AAPA is also spreading the word by continuing to build awareness of the profession via a national PAs Go Beyond advertising campaign that started mid-September and will run through October. This campaign includes iHeartMedia broadcast markets and widely listened to podcasts, as well as various connected TV platforms such as Hulu and Spotify. A full-page PAs Go Beyond ad was also published in POLITICO during AAPA’s Leadership and Advocacy Summit at the end of September. These efforts are happening in tandem with a robust television and radio tour featuring AAPA President Folusho E. Ogunfiditimi, CEO Lisa Gables, and several state chapter leaders to tell our story based on the latest Harris poll data.

Check out AAPA’s YouTube channel for our most recent interviews, or review some of the coverage on news stations such as ABC Action News, Dakota News Now, and NBC 29.

PA Week is the best time to promote the PA profession!
You’ll find a wide array of resources on PAsGoBeyond.com that you can download, print, and share with your networks. From informative flyers and fact sheets to engaging social media posts and eye-catching graphics and merchandise to show off your PA pride, there’s something for everyone.

This is also an opportunity to spotlight amazing PAs and PA students – like Bernard ToneyJina Saltzman, and Kaleo Lee – who go beyond both within their practices and their communities. If you know a fellow PA or PA student who goes beyond and deserves to be featured, share their story with us! We’ll also be celebrating PA Week with you across InstagramX (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn. So, be sure to use the hashtags #PAweek and #PAsGoBeyond!
