This May, thousands of PAs will converge in Denver, Colorado to learn, network, and advance their careers at AAPA 2025, the largest PA conference in the country.

[AAPA 2025 starts on May 16! Don’t miss out. Register today!]

If you are an early career PA, here are five reasons you should attend!

1. Get advice on multiple topics key to your career development
Attendees are invited to attend a brand-new event called Early Career Success: A Mentoring Event. During this event, early career attendees will rotate between expert-staffed tables focused on critical topics like avoiding burnout, navigating specialty transitions, personal finance and loan repayment, contract negotiation, and more. Different topics will be offered during the morning session and the afternoon session, so be sure to register for both!

2. Build community by attending PA Adventures
Attendees can immerse themselves in all Denver has to offer and connect with their fellow PAs during one of AAPA’s PA Adventures. During AAPA 2025, three PA Adventures are dedicated exclusively for early career PAs. Complete a volunteer project, take a guided hike, or explore the Meow Wolf art space with PAs just like you. Plus, don’t miss out on the fun networking opportunities that are available to all, like the Opening Reception and PA’s Night Out.

3. Up your clinical game and knock out your CME requirements
One of the primary reasons PAs attend AAPA’s annual conference is to earn CME. AAPA 2025 will offer more than 200 hours of high-quality CME in the form of lectures, hands-on workshops, and small group interactive sessions. Use the “Early Career” filter within the My Conference Planner tool to find CME opportunities that are particularly relevant for you.

Between CME sessions, don’t miss the opportunity to try out cutting-edge healthcare technology, see demos of disruptive solutions, and learn about the latest advancements in the Expo.

4. Explore your career options at the Career Fair
If you are looking for your first job or considering a job change, stop by the PA JobSource Career Fair to connect with employers who are hiring and looking to build their pipeline for future opportunities. While you’re there, be sure to visit the PA JobSource booth to learn how you can leverage AAPA’s members-only PA JobSource platform to connect with nearly 50,000 employers and build your understanding of the PA employment landscape.

5. Take a break and recharge
The first few years of PA practice can feel overwhelming and isolating. It’s important to take time away to rest, recharge, and remember why you became a PA! At AAPA 2025, PAs will have the opportunity to step away from the demands of practice and focus on themselves. Take advantage of fitness classes, visit the mindfulness lounge, and explore Denver alongside your friends and colleagues.
