SMS/Text Messaging

These terms and conditions (these “Terms”) apply to the text messaging program offered by the American Academy of Physician Associates (“AAPA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through AAPA’s online properties including, without limitation, aapa.org, connect.aapa.org, cme.aapa.org, pa-foundation.org, aapapac.aristotle.com, huddle.aapa.org, www.jaapa.com, paportfolio.aapa.org, AAPA profiles on social media sites, and any other digital services (including any SMS service(s) offering), microsites, mobile websites, mobile applications, software, services, products, tools, materials, content, information or properties operated or used by the AAPA from time to time (collectively referred to as the “Site”).  These Terms are subject to change by the AAPA without prior written notice at any time, in our sole discretion. The latest version of these Terms will be posted on the Site, and you should review these Terms before signing up for any text messaging services that are available through the Site. Your continued use of the Site after a posted change in these Terms will constitute your acceptance of and agreement to such changes.

These Terms are an integral part of the Site Terms of Use that apply generally to the use of our Site. You should also carefully review our Site Terms of Use and Privacy Policy before signing up for SMS text messages.

Program Description
With your consent, AAPA and its service providers may use an automatic telephone dialing system (“autodialer”) to deliver AAPA text messages to you, including marketing messages.  For example, AAPA may use text messages to provide you with information about your renewal notifications.  Authorization to receive text messages is not required for any purchase or service.

Message Frequency
AAPA may send you periodic text messages.

Cost
Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received in connection with AAPA text messages, as provided in your mobile telephone service rate plan (please contact your mobile telephone carrier for pricing plans), in addition to any applicable roaming charges. AAPA does not impose a separate fee for sending AAPA text messages.

Supported carriers may change from time to time, but currently include, without limitation, Major carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and T-Mobile USA. How to Opt-In

To opt-in to receive text messages from AAPA, please text “START” to short code 44086 to opt-in or visit the “My Account” page on the AAPA website and opt-in under the communications preferences area.

How to Opt-Out

To stop receiving text messages from AAPA, text STOP to the five-digit short code (44086, the five-digit number from which text messages are being sent). You will then receive confirmation of your opt-out of AAPA text messaging.

Help

If at any time you forget what keywords are supported, just text “HELP” to the short code (44086). After you send the SMS message “HELP”, AAPA will respond with instructions on how to use the service as well as how to unsubscribe.

Your Mobile Telephone Number
You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number(s) that you provide to us when signing up for text messaging. You are responsible for notifying AAPA immediately if you change your mobile telephone number. You may notify AAPA of a number change by submitting an email to [email protected], or log in to your AAPA account.
